An experienced construction professional, barrister (non-practising) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, skilled in inter alia; construction dispute resolution, legal procedures, drafting and contract administration. Alex’s technical background coupled with his legal experience enables him to identify the root cause of a dispute and ensure his clients are advised and represented to the highest standard.   


Alex’s early career in the construction industry has been predominantly Contractor based acting as Site Management and further into Contract Management where he was responsible for up to 4 live contracts at any one time in both commercial and residential sectors. Alex also has hands on experience in Project Management on contracts up to £35m in the Energy, Civil Engineering and Retail Sectors.


Alex now channels his technical knowledge and legal skills into his role as a consultant where his clients include Contractors, Employers and Sub-Contractors alike. Alex regularly advises his clients on contentious legal and contractual matters, payment disputes, variation claims, delay & disruption and claims preparation, party representation in adjudications and advice regarding enforcement proceedings.


Alex’s experience boasts an assortment of cases, ranging from simple payment disputes in commercial and residential sectors through to complex claims regarding, delay & disruption, hydrology & flooding, negligent design, LED street lighting, loss of profit claims, anaerobic digestion, waste to energy, gas storage and engineering disputes.
