Diana Wallis has a long experience in the field of law and dispute resolution. Originally a London solicitor with more than sixteen years post qualification litigation work in the field of European cross border commercial litigation, Diana pursued these interests as a leading legislator in the European Parliament. Diana is a Senior Fellow of the Law School at the University of Hull. She is a well-respected figure in mediation circles - a frequent speaker at events and has developed her own mediation skills being a qualified mediator with broad experience.
Diana is a fluent French and German speaker and studied not only in the UK but in Zurich and Liege. She is a CEDR Accredited Mediator and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and was one of the first Honorary Members of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in recognition of her services to that profession.
Diana’s passion is for her adopted county of Yorkshire, which she represented in the European Parliament for twelve years. In addition, she has a long-standing book in progress in the form of a historical novel about a little known 17th century Essex heroine.
