Paul has over 25 years’ experience of commercial litigation and arbitration. Paul headed the litigation team at Pannone Corporate until 2019 ,as he did at previous firms Pannone LLP and Muckle LLP, until becoming senior partner in July 2019.


Prior to Muckle LLP, Paul spent time at national firms Osborne Clarke and Pinsent Masons.  Paul has been ranked in Chambers as a leading individual since 2007 and Legal 500 since 2016 and has a broad practice including shareholder disputes, restrictive covenant and breach of confidence disputes,  “boardroom bust ups”, injunctive relief (including freezing injunctions and search and seize orders), defamation and privacy, IT disputes, partnership disputes, professional negligence, franchise litigation, international arbitration and commercial fraud.

Paul is a committed supporter of mediation and won a national award in 2013 for his use of mediation as a method of resolving commercial disputes. Paul has represented clients in mediations since 2001 and has participated in over 90 mediations since that time.   In 2009 Paul obtained a post graduate diploma in IP law from Nottingham Trent University. He is a Hunt ADR Accredited Mediator.

Paul was appointed a Deputy District Judge on the Northern Circuit in 2010 and qualified as a mediator in 2019. 


Paul is a recognised leader in his field in Chambers and Partners ( tier one North West ) and The Legal 500 for commercial litigation and partnership disputes ( tier 3 nationwide). Paul is also recognised by Legal 500 for his work in professional negligence claims.
