Story

Get to Know Us

Hunt ADR was founded on 11th April 2016 by Managing Director & Founder Gregory Hunt. Gregory had spent more than 20 years working for leading bodies in the dispute resolution sector and decided it was time to stand on his own two feet.

At the beginning

Initially Gregory had never intended to grow a business known by its own brand. He wanted to work on a consultancy basis. This is how it all began, with Gregory working within law firms and other businesses on business development work. He also delivered training and developing his own credentials as a mediator.

Training

In 2019 Hunt ADR became certified by the Civil Mediation Council to train mediators. Today Hunt ADR is one of the UK's leading mediator training providers and offers open courses, private training and training for several univiersities. Hunt ADR has developed many other CPD and training services for mediators and arbitrators. These include the world's first AI powered course in mediation and ADR. Hunt ADR has trianed mediators and other professionals from North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

Travel came calling

In 2018 ABTA asked Hunt ADR to become its exclusive supplier of arbitration for the travel industry. This meant that Gregory had to stop his consultancy work in order to concentrate on providing administration for the ABTA Arbitration Scheme. This grew in to Travel Arbitration, which is now not only available for disputes between holidaymakers and members of ABTA, but also for non-ABTA members like Love Holidays and On the Beach.

Podcasting and Foodbank Support

Gregory now also runs one of the most popular dispute resolution podcasts, called No Disputing That. No Disputing That has charted in Apple Podcast charts around the world and listeners have tuned in from more than 40 countries. Gregory has also ensured that Hunt ADR remembers its place in the community by raising money and awareness for foodbanks.
